About Denise Rhew
Denise Rhew is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Her therapeutic style is eclectic, honest, and compassionate. Denise believes in using empathy, collaboration, and humor to connect with clients, and provides practical support to help clients address and overcome personal life challenges.
Denise has provided counseling services through notable family service agencies including DePelchin Children’s Center, The Council on Recovery, in public and private school settings, and in private practice. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Stephen F. Austin in 1995 and her Master’s in Family Therapy from the University of Houston - Clear Lake in 2002.
Although Denise works with a variety of clinical issues, she has a special interest in couple’s therapy, anxiety, depression, and family conflict. Her years of experience as a school counselor provides a unique perspective in working with adolescents to navigate issues with stress, social struggles, social media, anxiety, and transitions. Denise is a wonderful resource for parents who need guidance and direction.
When not helping others, Denise enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends, especially her husband, their two sons, and their golden doodle.
